A lifetime of experience holds lessons worth passing on. We give them a form that can travel.
Our contributors are not celebrities or public figures. They are ordinary people who have led full, thoughtful lives, and whose experiences, decisions, and hard-won wisdom deserve to be heard and preserved.
We generally seek contributors who are 60 years of age or older, with no upper age limit whatsoever. Whether you are 62 or 102, if you have stories and lessons to share, we would love to hear from you. The older the perspective, often the richer the insight.
Contributors might have raised families, built businesses, emigrated to new countries, survived loss and hardship, rediscovered joy in unexpected places, and accumulated a quiet, grounded wisdom. These are exactly the kinds of stories our subscribers treasure most.
There is no single template for a contributor's story. Life does not follow one. We are interested in everything from the quietly profound to the surprisingly practical: the lessons that took decades to learn and that other generations could seek real value in.
The things you know now that you wish someone had told your younger self.
How you rebuilt, recovered, or found resilience when life did not go to plan.
What you have learned about love, loss, parenting, and lasting connection.
Insights from a career, a craft, or a calling, including what truly mattered in the end.
The moments when life shifted direction and what you discovered about yourself as a result.
Stories of home, migration, and what it means to put down roots or start again.
The habits, routines, and attitudes that have served you best over the decades.
The money lessons learned the hard way and the mindsets you wish you had understood sooner.
What school taught you, and what life taught you that school never did.
If you know someone whose story deserves to be heard, a parent, a grandparent, a neighbour, a mentor, or a friend who has lived a life worth sharing, please do encourage them to get in touch.
We particularly encourage contact from residential accommodations, care homes, and assisted living communities. The residents in your care carry lifetimes of experience, with personal histories that, in many cases, have never been heard.
If you work in or manage a care setting and believe your residents might welcome the opportunity to be heard and have their stories preserved, we would be delighted to discuss how we can work with you. We conduct our interviews with patience, warmth, and a deep respect for each individual's comfort and pace.
There is no pressure, no rush, and no obligation. The process is relaxed, straightforward, and entirely led by you.
Simply contact us to express your interest, whether for yourself or on behalf of someone you know. We will respond personally and promptly.
We will arrange a relaxed, informal conversation to introduce ourselves, explain the process fully, and answer any questions. No commitment is required at this stage.
If everyone is comfortable to proceed, we will arrange the full recorded discussion: an unhurried, guided conversation designed to draw out the stories and lessons that matter most to you.
Your contribution is carefully crafted into a letter that goes out to our subscribers, reaching the hands of people who will read it, reflect on it, and carry something of you forward.
